| Questions about the New Registration |
-
- I
just registered a domain name but The Big Whois says it is still
available?
The Big Whois updates with new information once every 24 hours.
- Check back at that time to
find your domain name information.
-
- When
will the domain name be active?
- As soon as your domain name
is listed in The Big Whois you may be able to access your domain
name. If you are still delayed:
- Check with your hosting provider,
you will need to advise your provider of the new domain name
as they will need to update their nameservers.
- Some access providers have
slower propagation times (up to 72 hours).
-
- Can
someone else register my domain name after I have registered
it?
- All domain name registrations
registered through The Big Whois are verified through the Shared
Registration System. The open SRS system prevents duplicate registrations,
and your domain name will be registered as soon as we receive
your order and your payment is processed.
- In the rare event the domain
name was not available after your registration. A full refund
will be credited to the billing contact.
-
- What
If the domain name was spelled incorrectly during registration?
- Sorry, The Big Whois has a
no refund policy.
However, many companies now register misspelled domains due to
visitors' typing errors.
You might want to ask your hosting provider if they can point
more than 1 domain name to your main URL(domain name).
This can also be to your advertising advantage, as the search
engines may list both URL's in their query searches.
