 Questions about the New Registration

I just registered a domain name but The Big Whois says it is still available?
The Big Whois updates with new information once every 24 hours.
Check back at that time to find your domain name information.

When will the domain name be active?
As soon as your domain name is listed in The Big Whois you may be able to access your domain name. If you are still delayed:
Check with your hosting provider, you will need to advise your provider of the new domain name as they will need to update their nameservers.
Some access providers have slower propagation times (up to 72 hours).

Can someone else register my domain name after I have registered it?
All domain name registrations registered through The Big Whois are verified through the Shared Registration System. The open SRS system prevents duplicate registrations, and your domain name will be registered as soon as we receive your order and your payment is processed.
In the rare event the domain name was not available after your registration. A full refund will be credited to the billing contact.

What If the domain name was spelled incorrectly during registration?
Sorry, The Big Whois has a no refund policy.
However, many companies now register misspelled domains due to visitors' typing errors.
You might want to ask your hosting provider if they can point more than 1 domain name to your main URL(domain name).
This can also be to your advertising advantage, as the search engines may list both URL's in their query searches.

How can I transfer the Domain Ownership to another party?

Members
As a bonus of membership you have more control over your domains, therefore
Domain ownership modifications can be updated in your toolshed automatically.
1. To modify a domain click on the domain name.
2. The next page lists all of the contact information for the domain name.
3. Change the old ownership information to the new ownership information.
4. Check the appropriate field:
Transfer Ownership and keep domain in my toolshed
If you want to continue paying the renewal fees for the domain name
or
Transfer Ownership and remove domain from my toolshed
If you no longer want to be associated with the domain name
just check the box: Transfer Ownership and remove domain from my toolshed
This will remove the domain name from your membership and you will no longer be responsible for the renewal fees. For the renewal payment we will contact the billing contact that is listed for the domain name via email only.

If for some reason the billing contact cannot be located we will require
notarized contact information. Contact us for more details.
